It is about the one thing I desire is a burning presence of God in my life. Here is what we came up with, a simple yet intricate typography design that explains it in one glance.

Two months ago, Ambert Rodriguez Creative Director / Owner of Guez Works was featured in an article "Christians & Culture" in The Good News Newspaper.

"When it comes to creativity, Christians have made their mark in literature of all kinds – from popular fiction to acclaimed works such as Marilynne Robinson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “Gilead,” he said.
“Music is the other place where Christians have been successfully offering up innovative cultural goods for at least a generation now,” he added.

From “American Idol” contestants singing contemporary Christian music selections to classically trained musicians performing works by Christian composers such as John Tavener and James MacMillan, Christian influence permeates music, he noted.

“We’ve always been a people of the word, so it makes sense that there would be a strong Christian presence in literature. We value music in worship, so Christians have done well in that area,” Andy Crouch said. “Where we have not been represented as much are in areas the church has either avoided or viewed with suspicion – film, dance and the visual arts.”

Drafts with auto-save and version-trackin

This one is HUGE and will be making all of our lives much easier and a bit more fun as well. The text-editor now includes a "Save Draft" feature that allows you to save versions of your content as drafts without taking them live on the site. You can then restore any of your previously saved drafts at any time with a single click. Not only that, the system will auto-save your drafts for you every five minutes to avoid the possibility of losing your work. So relax. That big blog post you're working on won't disappear if the power fails. We're looking out for you.

Protection against losing your work. The auto-save feature will save a draft of what you are working on every five minutes. So, you'll always have a back-up. Plus, you can manually save a draft as well at any time.
Work on changes without taking them live. If you want to queue up some changes to your page but you don't want them to go live just yet, simply save them as a draft. Then, when you're ready to publish, just load up your saved draft and take it live.
Recall any previous version at any time. A simple drop-down box displays every previously saved version of your content (see image below). Load one up with a single click.
The drafts functionality is available anywhere that the text editor is used. This includes all text-elements, blog posts and calendar event detail pages.

Total Abandonment is a youth conference held in Atlanta, Georgia. Destiny World Outreach hired us to design and make this youth conference attractive to a broad audience. During a long brainstorming meeting, we got inspired by this picture below.

The act of taking of the old and becoming new. So we decided to modernize it. Usually people define us by the clothes we wear or our outer appearance. So that is the very thing that we want to break off our lives, the things that hold us back.

We took some shots and worked up a lot of photoshop and illustrator magic. We also did research and found a website where young people post their thoughts on life and things in general. We found some very sad comments and posts about how some youth really feel about life and purpose. We used these posts as part of the background, as part of the things that are being Totally Abandoned. Below is the poster that will be given out at the conference. The rest of the material will have the same look and feel.

Trying to reach a "today" culture with "yesterdays" material. I still see audio tapes being sold, cheezy graphics and starbursts. Don't get me wrong, the Word they teach is an amazing Word, I can never deny that, but the method of production and branding is way under par. Our heart is to help these ministries reach the people they should be reaching by creating great design that works. Design that speaks to the consumer to GRAB ME because this can change your life!

With that said, we just launched two new designs for Destiny World. We are pretty pumped about these, and know that they solve this problem.

This year they are going to New York and on elite, high class tours in the city. They asked to create a classy package that will include all their material. I made a custom parcel that fits 5 custom luggage tags, and many other printed collateral. The program opens like an accordion and has a custom emboss on the cover. To close it all, a simple label to add a touch of class.

Today I had a very interesting and fun job. Every year Scion has a car show, and every year it has a different theme. This year they are having the show in an airplane hangar. I thought that was kind of cool, but still a little boring. So I searched and searched and found a picture of an old abandoned hangar, and a good dynamic pic of a plane. I mixed them together with some very cool Scion cars, added a little Photoshop and Illustrator magic, and Vualah! These are banners placed throughout the event.
